Turn your child's drawing into a keychain
Kids' drawings don't last long on the fridge. Photograph one, upload it, and we'll 3D print it as a keychain they can carry, in the colours they chose, with an exact preview before you pay.

Why a drawing makes the best gift
A drawing of a dog with six legs, a rainbow house or a self-portrait with enormous hands is exactly the kind of thing grandparents keep forever. Turning it into a keychain, a coin or a door sign means it gets carried and seen every day instead of filed in a drawer. Because each colour is printed as solid plastic, the bold lines and flat colours of a child's drawing translate unusually well: they look more like the original than a photo ever would.
How to photograph a drawing so it prints well
- Use daylight near a window, without the flash, so the colours stay true and there's no glare.
- Shoot straight down, phone parallel to the paper, so the drawing isn't skewed.
- Fill the frame with the drawing and crop away the table. A plain white paper background is cut away automatically.
- Bolder is better. Thick marker and crayon lines print beautifully. Faint pencil can be too fine to print, and the preview will show you exactly which lines survive.
Our step-by-step guide to turning a drawing into a keychain covers choosing colours and sizes too.
Which product suits which drawing
A single character or animal suits a keychain 40 to 60 mm across. A busier scene needs more room: a plaque or hexagon tile up to 150 mm keeps the detail. And a drawing of their own name in their own letters makes a one-of-a-kind bedroom door sign. Up to 8 colours are available, so most drawings keep every colour the child used.

Questions
Will it look exactly like the drawing?
It keeps the shapes and colours, simplified into up to 8 solid colours. Very faint or thin lines may be merged; the preview shows exactly what will print before you order.
What if the drawing has lots of colours?
The designer groups similar colours and matches them to our in-stock spools, up to 8 in total. You can change which spool each colour uses.
Can I add my child's name?
Yes. Add their name in any of 125 fonts, in any of the in-stock colours.
How big should it be?
A single figure works well at 40 to 60 mm. Busy drawings look best larger, on a plaque or tile up to 150 mm.
